Case Study (Same Model)

Thoughts

From the image you might think its multimillion commercial farm of a single investor which is not the case. These are a small holder export farmer group in Midlands, Province of Zimbabwe growing snap peas. The group is made of, 30 each growing on a 0.05ha that’s just four lines in their case, earning a net profit of between USD 800-1300 per farmer as of 2023 season. The farmers send their produce to the Takura pack –house (aggregation facility) in a refrigeration truck to maintain the cold chain for final grading and packing before export to the EU

Avocado farming

Many avocado farmers have been limited by capacity and scale to access high end markets within the value chain. This is due to either capital or availability of land to scale forcing companies like Olivado group from New Zealand integrate small scale farmers into international Avocado value chains. Their capital is consolidated in simple language to provide volumes of Avocado fit for market while earning them sizeable returns.

Herbs Farming in Kenya

Realizing how lucrative the export of herbs and vegetables is, many growers have mushroomed lacking industry market metrics, expertise, volume per customer demand and international market conformity. The formation of Spisa Kenya came with all the missing links and started buying from multiple growers now generating sizeable returns for their investments.
